Architect MAA/MDL

During my studies at The Royal Academy in Copenhagen I developed a curiousity and intersest for the embedded power in the landscape, how nature already carry solutions for the different problems we face. I found interest in how we as humans modify the earth's crust by distribute soil and other materials around the world and I discovered the poetic sensation of post-industrial landscapes.

I enjoy every part of the process but often find myself carried away in the early stages of a project where sketching, brainstorming and research plays a big part. During my studies I have developed a workprocess that combines analogue and digital techniques such as 3d scanning and point clouds combined with analouge sketching and models. I truly believe in the importance of sketching by hand. While we sketch, we think. It's a direct way to communicate our ideas, it's a language everyone understands. Maps and cartagraphy is also playing an important role in my process. During my master it has been a central tool to understand and see the world differently. We have also been working in all scales, from the small micro scale to the macro overview scale, and to work in different scales simultaneously helps us avoid getting stuck in one aspect of the project.

Looking back, the bodily experience of the space has always been a theme throughout my creative journey in life. It started as a dancer and developed into a common theme in my art and later through my years in the fashion industry. When I started architecture school I finally found something that ticked off all the things that interests me.
